THIS REGISTRATION IS FOR THE THURSDAY CLASS ONLY. THIS CLASS OCCURS AFTER SCHOOL The New Performance Project (NPP) is a dynamic performing arts program designed for elementary school students, grades 2-5, to discover the joy of acting, singing, and dancing through participation in an original musical. This joyful new theater program, created by two longtime best-friend teachers, Ms. LaRusso and Ms. Hellrigel believes every child shines brightest on stage. The show will feature an original script written by the program’s creators, blended with short vignettes with beloved songs from well-known musical theatre productions along with new pieces that will introduce children to a broader repertoire. Students will learn the fundamentals of stage performance while developing confidence, teamwork, and an appreciation for the arts, all within a fun, age-appropriate environment. This 15-week before and/or after-school experience invites students to build confidence, express creativity, and work together to perform in an original show—one in which each cohort contributes a unique one-third of the final performance. Families may choose one, two, or all three cohorts to customize their child’s rehearsal experience: ✨ Available Cohorts Thursday Afternoon – After school, 90-minute session (Time: 4:00-5:30 PM) Thursday cohort — 15 class dates (Thurs) Starting Jan 15th - May 7th. Each cohort focuses on different vignettes in the show, all which will include acting, choreography, vocal work, and character-building—so students who join multiple groups get a deeper, more well-rounded performance experience.Together, all three cohorts will bring the final production to life, with each group performing one-third of the show.
