Class Description

In this exciting March Madness–focused course, students will combine math skills, data analysis, and strategic thinking to navigate the NCAA tournament. Using real NCAA statistics, students will learn to interpret team and player performance, identify trends, and make informed bracket selections. Along the way, they’ll compare numbers, calculate averages and percentages, evaluate probabilities, and consider trade-offs as they make predictions. As the tournament progresses, students will track teams, analyze matchups, update brackets, and defend their choices using evidence-based reasoning. This class blends the thrill of college basketball with the power of numbers. Turning every game into a hands-on lesson in math, probability, and critical thinking.
