Class Description

Join Mrs. Malkin for morning field hockey! Open to all boys and girls in grades 1–5. Mrs. Malkin is the assistant varsity coach at Brien McMahon High School and played at University of Connecticut. Each class builds core skills of passing, receiving, dribbling, and shooting with age-appropriate drills. The students will also incorporate their skills into action with mini scrimmages (2v3, 3v4). We'll start with dynamic stretches and sprinting games to warm up, and stay outside on the field whenever weather allows. A limited number of sticks are available to borrow, but players are encouraged to bring their own stick, shin guards, and mouth guard.
